About MoonSauce

We built the agency we always wanted to hire.

MoonSauce Agency is a national, no-fluff digital marketing agency founded in October 2024 by Rob Burke and Roger Cooney. It runs the full growth stack (SEO, Google Ads, programmatic, OTT, audio, social, and email) and builds visibility across both classic Google search and AI answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity. It is senior-only, remote-first, and publishes its pricing publicly.

The story

Built by two people who were tired of the same things you are.

Most people who find this page have already been burned by an agency. You know the script. The pitch was sharp, the deck was glossy, and then you got handed to a junior account manager who couldn't explain a single decision. The pricing showed up as a number on an invoice with no math behind it. The strategy lived in a black box you paid to never see inside.

We started MoonSauce because that model is broken, and because the timing finally made it indefensible.

Here is the thing the burned-buyer story misses: while agencies were busy hiding the work, the ground under search moved. Your customers stopped only Googling. They started asking ChatGPT and Perplexity for recommendations, and Google itself started answering with AI Overviews before anyone clicks a single blue link. If your brand isn't in those answers, you're invisible to a growing slice of buyers, and most agencies can't even name the problem, let alone fix it.

So we built the agency we'd want to hire: one that does the classic work well, builds for AI search from the foundation (not as a bolt-on), publishes its pricing out loud, and explains every move so you're never hostage to an agency again. Including us.

That's the whole reason MoonSauce exists. No mission-statement theater. We were tired of the same thing you're tired of, and we had the resumes to do something about it.

Transparency, with public pricing as the receipt

"Transparent" is empty until you can see the numbers, so we publish ours: tiered fees that shrink as your budget grows, no markup on media, no quote-form games. The math is on the table.

No fluff

If a competitor would say it in jargon, we say it in human. Plain-English strategy and reports that show what happened, not a deck engineered to look busy. We name the industry’s sins plainly.

We show our work

We explain the work as we do it and hand you the playbook. Not because we are nice (though we are), but because a client who understands the strategy is a sharper partner to build with. No black box, no jargon moat.

Honest about real versus hype

AI search is the most important shift in this category, and parts of it are new enough that the honest answer is "here is what we know, here is what is uncertain." We will not promise guaranteed rankings, and we will tell you when a month was soft.

How we build

We build for both halves of search.

This is the part most agencies wave at and few can do. You are not choosing between old search and new search: you show up across both, with one team that knows how the pieces connect.

Classic search, run properly

People still type queries into Google, and ranking organically is still where a lot of qualified demand lives. Technical health, content that matches intent, links that earn authority. It is the foundation, and we run it the way we always have.

Answer engines, native

When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google’s AI Overviews, the engine writes one answer and cites a few sources. There is no page two: you are in the answer or you are not. We structure your content and entity so the models find you, trust you, and pull you in. It builds on classic SEO, it does not replace it.

Who you work with

Senior people on every account. No layers in between.

No interns. No outsourcing. No bait-and-switch to a junior after the contract is signed. The people who win your business are the people who do the work, and that starts with the founders. As MoonSauce grows, that bar does not move: senior operators own every account.

Who founded MoonSauce Agency?
MoonSauce was co-founded by Rob Burke and Roger Cooney. Rob brings 13+ years in digital marketing and is the former Director of Operations at Conduit, where he led a team of 35 across 14 channels. Who will be doing my work?
The senior people you meet. Both co-founders work on accounts, and the strategist who builds your plan is the one who runs it. There is no junior hand-off after you sign and no rotating cast of account managers, so you always know who is doing the work and why.
What will it cost to work with you?
Most of our pricing is published, and you can build your own monthly estimate on our pricing page before we ever talk. Fees are modular and month-to-month, media is billed at cost with no markup, and anything custom is scoped with you in the open.
Do you do more than AI search?
Yes. AI search (AEO and GEO) is a core strength, but it sits alongside a full stack: classic SEO, Google Ads, programmatic, OTT and CTV, audio, paid social, and email. The AI work co-leads with SEO and paid media, it does not replace them.
Do you work with businesses outside your area?
Yes. MoonSauce is national and remote-first, serving clients across the United States. We are service-led, not location-led, so where you are headquartered does not change how we work with you.
